Computer Lab
Today in computer lab, we looked more into those websites explaining our future carreers. After filling out a 180 question quiz, I was shocked to find out that I got listed as the job that I really wanted, to design sets for plays and movies. This is a job that interests me me because I get to be on the spot with all of the big shots, AND it expresses my artistic ability, AND it pays pretty well. I was especially looking for more advanced jobs that I new would pay wmore because as technology developes throughout the years, the demand for each item increases assuring that everybody will want one. For instance, I already know tons of people who are waiting for the iPad 5, because apperently, it's supposed to be a whole lot better. Meanwhile, apple is making profit because people are trading in thier olds for news. Well, anyways, I can't wait to get a job someday!

Science Lab
Today in sciense lab we looked at some petroleum products.I had never even known that so many things we use every day come from petroleum. When we looked at a picture, there was practically nothing in the picture that didn't have a petroleum base. I was really shocked to find out that plastic was found in my canned foods. I guess that means no soup for a while. Anyways, just the fact that we are using this much plastic is ridiculous. We also briefly talked about ways that we can try to use less plastic. It's a good thing that my family sometimes uses reusable bags, because I have had a little to much plastic around me lately!!!

Computer Lab
Today in computer lab we revisited bitesized math. We had three choices to study. One of the games I played was looking at at different materials and how different things effect them such as water, a hammer, and a sander. I liked this because it gave me a little snipit of architecture. Another game I played was putting different creatures into different biomes, such as hot or cold weather. This gave me the connection on how handeling and caring for animals ties in with the science lab we did today. I enjoy the bitesized math site for it allows me to learn and revist interesting catagories.

Computer Lab
Today in computer lab we got to visit the bitsized math website. We played ingaging math games about shapes, 3D figures, time, etc. After that we had to take a quiz answering questions about what we learned in that game. I think this will help me in the "real world" because, first off, we are taking the CST test pretty soon now and I need some review. Next, I think I might want to be an architect when I grow up, so It's always great just to review some different shapes, (even though I find them very easy.) To be honest, I dont think I NEEDED todays lab, but it was good just to go back and review the basics. :)

Science Lab
Today in science lab I learned about resources that come from the ocean. There was a laminated peace of paper for us to write on with a pen. On one side, we listed some of the resources that we get like water for farming and drinking, and table salt, I already knew these things though. On the other side we did the same thing except with things like sand, ores, and oil, a couple of these things I knew but I it was also good just to refresh my memory. The worksheet we had to do had two questions: one, list the ten resources we learned we get from the Ocean. And two, we had to list four resources we us in our house every day. I thought today's lab was fun AND I learned a lot about the oceans natural resources!!!!!!

Science Lab
Today in science lab we learned about different kinds of energy. We watched a video about early people and how they contributed to earths energy today. I thought it was cool how some of the modern stuff like windmills actually started hundreds of years ago. The class also had to fill out a worksheet on what we leaned in the video, along with true or false questions. Overall I thought today's lab was very informative and i enjoyed it a lot.

Computer Lab 2
Today in computer lab, we did some very useful things. We got to visit a math and science site called bitesize math. I liked todays lab because I got to go back and not only review some old skills, but take a practice test on them too! After today I feel a little more confident in my work. Another thing that I got to learn a little more about was reflex angles. At first, I did not understand them at all, but now I understand them completely. In conclusion I found this a very useful lab.
The Sea of Monsters
The Sea of Monsters, by Rick Riordan is a great story. This sequel to The Lightning Thief is quite the thriller. Life was pretty mellow for Percy after his last quest, at least until he faces giant Cyclopses in a dodgeball match. It turns out that the borders of camp half-blood were fading and the only way to regenerate them was to retreive the golden fleece from a far away land. While Percy and his friends are on theis quest, Percy learns many things about himself. One of the most exciting facts was that Percy has a long lost Cyclopse brother!! Anyways after battling some pretty nasty monsters, Percy and his friends end up retrieving the fleece and saving the camp. Percy is now back to his normal every day life, at least for now...
